I recently had the opportunity to work with Patrick on a large scale lighting project at Stinson Beach. Our yard literally had no working outdoor light fixtures when we started. Patrick showed up and instantly got the vibe and landscape we were going for, and quickly developed a detailed plan for the project. The lighting included many formats - uplighting for mature trees and tall (30ft) palm trees, soft downlighting and uplighting on rocks and sculptures, complete new lighting for pathways and an outdoor kitchen - the list goes on. Patrick used a wide variety of fixtures and brightness specific to each purpose. The result has been incredible - our property, and enjoyment of our yard, has been completely transformed. Patrick combines old school artistry and creativity with the most modern technology. We have everything automated on a Lutron system which allows us to operate all of our lighting from the comfort of an iPhone app. He also created custom plastic enclosures to build out a motion sensor based system for our pathways so they automatically light up at night. To top it all off Patrick was an absolute pleasure to work with every step of the way - from design, to implementation, to follow-up on any technical issues. He was on time, on budget, and consummately reliable. I really enjoyed our personal interaction on the project, which was long and complicated. Patrick’s artistry, humorous demeanor and flawless execution were fantastic. We have a follow-up project in the works for next spring and I can’t wait to get that going. I can’t recommend Patrick highly enough - he is the best of the best!

To pull it all together we use wireless switching that is both remote and app controlled. It is all easily scheduled, and we generally use dimmers instead of switches so that you can adjust your lighting to exactly the right setting.
